Honeymoon / Türkiye and abroad
Honeymoon routes:
Türkiye and
abroad.
Where would you like to wake up after the wedding? A long breakfast by a bay, an evening walk along stone streets or an island day with nowhere to rush to… Choose your holiday's rhythm first; finding a hotel becomes easier afterwards.
We brought together 8 routes from Turkey and 8 from abroad with their real photos. We looked at how to set up a program for each, how many nights are worth booking and details to ask when booking.

There's another rhythm coming soon
Honeymoon routes in Turkey
You can choose the sea, island, lake or plateau without planning a long flight. The distinction here is not so much "close or far?", but rather where and how you want to spend time during your holiday.

Antalya
01 / 08Kaş
- What kind of holiday?
- Bays and evening walks
- Recommended time
- 4–5 nights
Look at the location before the hotel photo in Kaş. When you stay in the center, it becomes easier to walk to dinner; if you choose a quieter bay, you may want to spend most of the day at the hotel. There are two different honeymoon ideas in the same district.
Dedicating one day to the boat, one day to the sea, and leaving a free day in between creates a good balance. If you want to see Kaputaş, consider it as a separate morning plan; you don't have to change beaches every day.
Before bookingA room “near the sea” does not always mean step-free access to the beach. Ask about stairs, parking and returning to the center before booking.
Timing note: For a sea-oriented plan, look at the swimming season; if you don't want heat and crowds, compare the date with the busiest weeks of summer.

Muğla
02 / 08Fethiye and Ölüdeniz
- What kind of holiday?
- Sea + some action
- Recommended time
- 5–6 nights
If one of you wants to swim all day and the other wants to try something new, Fethiye offers common ground. You can break up your sea days around Ölüdeniz with views of Babadağ and short explorations.
Staying in Fethiye center and Ölüdeniz are not the same thing. See your plans for going out at night, joining the boat and reaching the beach on the same map. This way, you won't waste the best hours of your day on the road.
Before bookingIf you are considering a paragliding or boating activity, find out about the possibility of changes due to weather and cancellation policies. Don't leave the flight until the last hour of your holiday.
Timing note: If sea and outdoor activities will be included in the same program, look not only at the temperature, but also at the wind and daily weather conditions.

Muğla
03 / 08Bodrum
- What kind of holiday?
- Rest at the hotel, go out in the evening
- Recommended time
- 4–6 nights
Although Bodrum seems like a single holiday, the bay you choose changes the rhythm. You can have a more active evening in the center or a quiet day on another coast without leaving the hotel. Decide which one you want first.
A good beach and two nice dinners might be a better honeymoon plan than trying to get somewhere else every night. Take into account the distances on the peninsula; also check the path of two nearby addresses on the map.
Before bookingBeach use, pier, dining arrangements and transportation to the center change the total budget. Get it in writing exactly what the room rate includes.
Timing note: You can plan an active holiday in the middle of summer and a slower-paced getaway at the edges of the season; Confirm the facility's open services.

Muğla
04 / 08Datça
- What kind of holiday?
- Short schedule, long breaks
- Recommended time
- 4–5 nights
If you are looking for a small bay, a long breakfast and an afternoon walk rather than a large facility, look at Datça. The stone streets of Old Datça and the shores of the peninsula offer two different views in the same holiday.
If you want to see Knidos, make it a separate trip rather than hastily adding it to the end of your sea day. The road to the tip of the peninsula also takes time; Choosing fewer stops is not a deficiency here.
Before bookingIf you are going without a car, find out the actual transportation between the accommodation and the beach. Staying in the center and staying in a remote bay requires different preparations.
Timing note: If you're going to spend a long time outdoors, check the wind. If the sea is your priority, choose your travel date with swimming conditions in mind.

Canakkale
05 / 08Bozcaada
- What kind of holiday?
- Island streets and quiet tables
- Recommended time
- 3–4 nights
Bozcaada is a good option for a short honeymoon that still feels like a real escape. A few days around the castle, town streets and coast need no long sightseeing list.
Choosing a bay during the day and returning to the center in the evening may be a sufficient plan. Consider your arrival and departure days as part of your holiday: you don't want to interrupt your last breakfast in a hurry to catch the ferry time.
Before bookingCheck with the current operator for ferry schedules, driving patterns and the possibility of changes due to weather.
Timing note: Wind can affect both the sea day and transportation. Ask if the hotel and businesses you want to go to are open on their dates.

Nevşehir and its surroundings
06 / 08Cappadocia
- What kind of holiday?
- Scenery, stone rooms, short explorations
- Recommended time
- 3–4 nights
Honeymoon doesn't have to be by the sea. An accommodation in stone rooms in Cappadocia, a leisurely morning on the terrace and short trips to the valleys create a completely different holiday.
Spread Göreme, the Uçhisar views and a valley walk across different days rather than fitting them into one. Keep the rest of an early balloon-watching day light to maintain a relaxed holiday pace.
Before bookingBalloon flights are subject to weather and operating conditions. When choosing a cave or stone room, review the window, ventilation and staircase information.
Timing note: Scenery and outdoor conditions vary depending on the season. Prepare accordingly for the temperature difference, especially for morning excursions.

Sakarya
07 / 08Sapanca
- What kind of holiday?
- Soon, a short break
- Recommended time
- 2–3 nights
If you do not want a long trip, you can shorten the duration of your honeymoon without making it smaller. The lake surroundings in Sapanca are enough for a stay in nature and a short getaway for an unplanned afternoon.
The accommodation itself is often at the center of the decision here. A big hotel, a small house, spending time in the garden? If you're looking for a lake view, check the actual location of the room or house, not the town name.
Before bookingVerify whether the private pool is really yours, heating conditions, privacy and the property taking the reservation.
Timing note: Walking by the lake and spending time in the pool do not require the same weather conditions. Consider your accommodation based on how you will use it in your chosen season.

Rize
08 / 08Çamlıhemşin and plateaus
- What kind of holiday?
- Green landscapes, a flexible schedule
- Recommended time
- 4–5 nights
If you are thinking of walking shoes rather than a beach bag, look at the Rize side. The valleys around Çamlıhemşin and plateaus such as Pokut shift the focus of the holiday from the sea to the view.
A good plan here is not to go to a different plateau every day; it means leaving spaces that you can use when the weather opens. Being able to change the schedule of a foggy day with breakfast and a walk around the neighborhood makes the holiday more comfortable.
Before bookingFind out the vehicle suitability of the plateau roads from the local business. Plan your night arrival, return route, and guided transportation option in advance.
Timing note: Altitude and variable weather affect the plan. Do not accept the forecast in the valley and the conditions on the plateau as the same.

Honeymoon routes abroad
When going abroad, consider the connections as well as the flight and room. An island transfer or inter-town journey can change the entire balance of a short holiday.
When choosing an international route, also open the document calendar. If your information has changed after the wedding check the name and surname on the passport, visa and ticket together. Determine what you will ask before booking; do not consider receiving the document application as a guarantee of making it to the trip.

Indian Ocean
01 / 08Maldives
- What kind of holiday?
- Relaxing on one island
- Recommended time
- 5–7 nights
In the Maldives, the first decision is simply "which room?" but “which island and what kind of transfer?” question. If you like spending a long time in the same hotel, the sea, the beach and slow days are the real attraction of this route.
Before you get carried away with the overwater room look, also compare the beach room. Access to the sea, sunny terrace, meal plan and the activities you want to do on the island you stay in may be more decisive than the photo.
Before bookingConfirm in writing the cost, time interval and compatibility of the boat or seaplane transfer with your flight. Do not evaluate the hotel price separately from the transfer.
Timing note: The possibility of precipitation in tropical weather does not disappear completely throughout the year. When choosing a date, review the regional weather patterns and cancellation policies together.

Indonesia
02 / 08Bali
- What kind of holiday?
- Green interior + coast
- Recommended time
- 7–9 nights
If you want the rice terraces and seaside days around Ubud in the same holiday, treat Bali as two separate stays. This way, you can experience two different environments without having to make a long journey every morning.
You don't have to see all the stops on the island. Spending a few days inland and spending the rest of the time relaxing on your chosen coast will give you a more balanced honeymoon than changing hotels every day.
Before bookingAllow for travel between stops, traffic and the airport transfer on your flight day. Do not judge seemingly nearby places by map distance alone.
Timing note: Precipitation and sea conditions become important depending on the section you plan. Keep beach and inland days interchangeable.

Indian Ocean
03 / 08Seychelles
- What kind of holiday?
- Beach and island-to-island exploration
- Recommended time
- 6–8 nights
If you want to see different coasts instead of staying on just one island, consider Seychelles. Examine the names Mahé, Praslin and La Digue on the same map; Your choice determines how much of the holiday will be spent with transfer.
The granite-rock coastal landscape on La Digue is as distinctive as the photos. But seeing a beautiful beach and swimming there every day are not the same decision; sea conditions and transportation are also part of the choice.
Before bookingCheck island connections, ferry or domestic flight times and baggage conditions together before completing your reservations.
Timing note: Learn the wind and swimming conditions of the coast where you will stay according to date. Don't make a decision based on a beautiful beach photo alone.

Indian Ocean
04 / 08Mauritius
- What kind of holiday?
- Stay on the beach, see the island too
- Recommended time
- 6–8 nights
If you don't want to choose between relaxing in a hotel and visiting the island, look at Mauritius. You can design a holiday where you can add a nature trip inland to your days on the coast.
Instead of trying to see the entire island from one stay, choose a few places you want to see first. Then narrow down the hotel's location and your daily itinerary accordingly; you don't have to be behind the wheel during your honeymoon.
Before bookingInclude the budget you will allocate for vehicles or tours, airport transfers and meals in your total holiday calculation.
Timing note: Consider coast selection with the season. Check current regional conditions for swimming, wind and outdoor excursions.

Greece
05 / 08Santorini
- What kind of holiday?
- Landscape and a small island program
- Recommended time
- 3–4 nights
Consider Santorini not for lying on the beach all day, but for a scenic island getaway. Oia's white structures and caldera views establish the rhythm of the holiday around long walks and slow evenings.
You don't have to walk into the same crowd every night to get that sunset photo. The view of your room, walks around it and a quiet meal time can also be part of the holiday you choose.
Before bookingAsk about the number of stairs, luggage handling, vehicle access and privacy of the terrace. A beautiful view does not necessarily mean easy transportation.
Timing note: Open businesses, boat options, and crowd levels vary by season. Confirm transportation and hotel services for your date.

Italy
06 / 08Amalfi coast
- What kind of holiday?
- Coastal towns and long tables
- Recommended time
- 5–6 nights
Positano's houses lined up on the hillsides look like a postcard; the daily plan includes stairs and transportation between towns. If you consider the two together, you will have a more comfortable honeymoon on the Amalfi coast.
Choosing a main accommodation and splitting the circuit over several days may be more convenient than moving to a different town every night. You don't need to travel the entire coast in one day to have lunch with a sea view.
Before bookingFind out how to reach the pier, stop and hotel with luggage. Take into account that ferries may operate depending on season and weather conditions.
Timing note: Do not plan coastal transport using only last year's timetable. Check sailings and open facilities for your travel week.

France
07 / 08Paris
- What kind of holiday?
- City walks and coffee breaks
- Recommended time
- 4–5 nights
If you want to spend your honeymoon in the city without turning it into a museum marathon, Paris is still a strong option. Leave space in your schedule for a walk along the Seine, a coffee in the neighborhood and a long dinner.
Instead of being pressured to see every landmark, choose one main stop in a day. Evaluating the hotel not only according to the Eiffel view, but also according to the districts you want to walk and public transportation makes daily life easier.
Before bookingReview the current reservation schedule for places that require entry. Don't skip details like room size, elevator and airport transportation.
Timing note: During a short holiday, long queues can change the schedule. In addition to an outdoor plan suitable for the season, also prepare a rainy day alternative.

Montenegro
08 / 08Kotor and Perast
- What kind of holiday?
- Bay, stone streets, slow evenings
- Recommended time
- 4–5 nights
You can spend the day in the streets of the old city in Kotor, or on the bay shore in Perast. This route is more suitable for couples looking for small stops with views rather than a long beach every day.
Staying around the bay and making a few nearby trips may be enough. If your expectation of a seaside holiday is more important, check out the hotel's swimming area separately; Being on the coast does not always mean staying on the beach.
Before bookingCheck from official sources the current entry conditions that will apply to your passport and travel date. Do not rely on the old “visa-free” titles alone.
Timing note: Crowd and shore services may vary from period to period. A single accommodation for a short holiday reduces road load.
